Made some good time heading over to Tumbarumba.  Filled up with some fuel and got the Parks Pass ($27) and continued on.<\/p>\n<p>Took the Elliot Way from Tumbarumba. It turned dark pretty much as we hit the highway. Had a fairly good run, although I wouldn&#8217;t like to be travelling home tonight &#8211; think there would be some serious traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Overall we had a bloody good day.  Biggest annoyance was soft roaders that decided they didn&#8217;t need chains, but they&#8217;d sit in the middle of the road doing 20km\/h.  You&#8217;d think that the courteous thing to do would let people past, but they didn&#8217;t give a shit.
