Update 10 – Jan 11

Well the Prado ferried us to and from Tassie on our trip during December. Did the job quite nicely and handled both the bitumen/gravel roads and the 4WD routes we took with ease.

Only issue we had was the gas system having no power at all – anything above 3500rpm and it’d start hunting and I was having to flick it to petrol when going up hills.

I spoke to Opposite Lock upon arriving home and they kept the vehicle while we were in the VIC High Country. We got it back a few days ago and it seems a heap better – a lot more responsive on gas and it has that old get up and go that it used to have.

The big test will come in March when I hook the Trak Shak back up to it for our upcoming trip up the Murray.
