NE Tas – Feb 2013

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to get away. With Christmas and continuous work it certainly has been busy. We’ve been fortunate enough to have dad over here for a few weeks, so we are trying to show him around a little.

A lot of this trip we have detailed in previous trip reports where we have spent a lot more time in the areas. So I won’t recover old ground. But basically we did a loop for Launceston to St Helens, St Mary’s, Gladstone, Boobyalla, Bridport, Scottsdale, Lilydale & back to Launceston.

Points of note was the seafood at Bridport was really disappointing this time. I regretted my decision to not get any at St Mary’.

There has been great work by a couple of people at Lilydale. They have been painting the power poles along the main street for quite a while now with different scenes. It really does look fantastic and is well worth the drive just to look at them.

Cheers
Chris
