Targa West – Aug 13

Last minute discussion goes something like this. Pilchy – what time do you finish work? Me – what time do I need to finish work???

So I finished work when I needed too (lunch time) and we took the old girl up to Bullsbrook. It was the first time I had drove (or even started) her since I got the work ute!!! She must’ve had the shits with me, because there was no clutch fluid……

Anyway off to Bullsbrook we go. Got there with about 10 minutes to spare (before the roads were closed) thanks to some very slow traffic heading north, and a mud-run event as well.

Set up at the end of Coventry Crossing (thanks to an extended invitation) and took some shelter from the occasional down-pour. It ended up being good, as the last shower went through before the start of the cars. And it held off for the duration of the leg as well.

There really isn’t much you can say about sitting at a roundabout, drinking Bundy, watching & listening to a variety of vehicles trying to drive fast – well other than to say its bloody enjoyable.

I’ll let the pics do the talking, but I am missing the Canons. The P&S is handy, but it isn’t a substitute when it comes to this type of photography.

The night was rounded off nicely by a great meal and a relaxing drive home. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, and it was just the tonic to forget about work for a little while.

Cheers
Chris
